Qualifications

Master of Architecture Curtin University

Bachelor of Applied Science (Architectural Science) Curtin University

Aaron left a career as an Architect to fulfil a desire to work with other young people and alleviate the effects of poverty in our community through education.

Aaron ran a social enterprise called Creating Freedom Australia, an organisation that existed to enable youth across Western Australia to express themselves through music and performance, share their stories in an authentic way and connect with one another in a supportive environment.  He also runs the highlight event of Anti-poverty week, a festival called Expresstival.

Aaron is now the vice curator of the Perth Global Shapers Hub (A World Economic Forum Initiative) and has been accepted into a graduate program with Teach for Australia. During this program he will be studying a Master of Education at Deakin University and teaching as a High School  Visual Arts and Design & Technologies teacher in 2017/18.

Jeff Turner | Board Member

Jeff graduated from Curtin University with a Bachelor of Science, Health Promotion. After graduating, Jeff in partnership with the Western Australian AIDS Council (WAAC) received from the Australian Health Promotion Association (AHPA)  a 6 month full time scholarship. The sponsored project promoted sexual health to young men living in the Western Australian metropolitan area. During this scholarship Jeff began to work closely with FNTS MOVEMENT closly. On completion of this scholarship Jeff was employed in the role of Health Promotion Officer, Mobile populations where he continued to work alongside and strengthen the partnership with FNTS MOVEMENT. In this role Jeff and FNTS successfully implemented a Football Tournament (Love Game tournament) and World AIDS Day red carpet gala event which were effective strategies to engage communities to promote HIV awareness and healthy relationships. As a young person, Jeff is a valuable member in his ability to relate and build strong rapport with the target groups identified by FNTS MOVEMENT.

Jeff will be able to provide support to FNTS MOVEMENT to ensure continual growth and impact within community.
